Once you’ve set up your tropical aquarium you’ll be eager to stock it with fish. Before you buy any fish check that the different species will get along together. Some tropical fish may be OK when small but turn into aggressive bullies when full grown! For a novice fish keeper choose ‘community’ fish that will be peaceful and not nip and bite each other. For more aggressive fish they can be placed in the same tank but keep semi-aggressive fish together and keep them of similar size with plenty of room. For aggressive fish it’s better to keep only one species in a large tank.
